Thank you, Geraldine!

My family and I plan to travel a lot in the near future, so I hope some day I'll see Paris alive. So far, I know only from pictures and stories.

I'm curious: what is the source of your warm attitude towards Russia? Do you have friends here? Or, maybe, you had visited us?

I have been many times to Russia like in Moscow. I am working with an orphan house there.

I really appreciate Russian culture such as Russian music (tchaikovski) an literature (Boulgakov) . I think it has a wealthy culture.

I wish I would be able to settle in this country one day. It’s true that a lot of French people don’t have a good feeling about Russia particularly because of Politics (Poutine). However, it’s not my opinion, even if I don’t agree with a few things.
Which town are you from? I’m from Paris, actually.

I live in Moscow. Today it is a city full of social contrasts and injustice. Too many frustrated people around, you know. For me, personally, living here is somewhat extreme experience. I suspect, it was always like that. If so, it could be a root of the insights so characteristic of our classical literature.

How do you work with orphan house here? I'll have to ask someone who knows French to translate me your blog posts, I saw a text on Russia there...

Sergey

Hello, Serguey!

Unhappily, I don’t speak Russian but I would like to learn it. Some of my colleagues do, a little.

Let me introduce myself: I’m 25 years old and I work in a Parisian Law Firm (I'm in charge of marketing). What you say about Russia is true, I think there is a lot of injustice, and even if we don’t want to admit it, this countries suffers a dictatorship like in news (murder of Journalist Anna Politkovskaïa, for instance). I saw a quite frightening report about Russia dealing with topics such as racists crimes toward foreign students. That’s a pity because I think that all those bad sides make Russia in opposition with the rest of the world, moreover, by claiming a bit of nationalism. However, this country remains an attractive one with its values and this strong and wealthy culture.

Many people don’t understand my will to move there but I think that we should see further than prejudices.

About the Orphan House, I am in charge of picking food and clothes. I also wish to adopt a child there (later).
Let me tell you that you really have a nice family and a cute little boy!

By the way, where do you live more accurately in Moscow?

I am looking forward to reading you.

P.S.: Please answer directly threw my blog. It will be easier for me.

Géraldine.
